Because the stakes are so high we want this to be the easiest, most stress-free event you take on all year. So, to answer some of your more pressing questions:

What's Being Taught?

Every attendee at Men of Valor gets a full-color 36-page workbook in which to take notes during the sessions. The sessions cover the following topics:

1. Called to Valor - Explaining the definition of valor, the problems of being a male, not a man, and exploring God’s idea of a “man of valor” through the life of Gideon.

2. A King to Serve - Focusing on Jesus as our glorious King to serve, what service means, and how much it costs.

3. A Code to Live By (part 1) - Defining true manhood and dealing with the enemies of manhood, especially pornography.

4. A Code to Live By (part 2) - Exploring hard-core strategies for dealing with sexual temptation with our eyes and mind.

5. A Cause to Fight For (part 1) - Recognizing that God offers amazing rewards for true manhood, both now and in the world to come.

6. A Cause to Fight For (part 2) - Understanding the values of relationships with practical ideas for dating.

At the end of the sessions, we challenge guys to become the Men of Valor that God has called them to be, finalized with a commissioning ceremony.

What is the Cost?

Student pastors and workers, you have an awesome job but it’s never easy. We know what it’s like to work with teenagers. We also know what it’s like to work with a church budget!

One of our goals as a ministry is to keep the Men of Valor retreats as inexpensive as possible, to allow the greatest number of guys the ability to attend. We also want this to be the easiest, most stress-free event you take on all year.

If we come to your place, here are the costs:

1. $50 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a specific date. (This will be deducted from the total cost below!)

2. Transportation costs (basically just gas for our cars... unless you're really far away, in which case we might need a hotel)

3. $200 speaker fee.

3. $12/person This fee includes the printing costs for the workbooks and handouts, airsoft BBs & equipment fee.

EXAMPLE: So if you have 20 attendees, your total cost would be $440 plus transportation.

If you come to our place near Cleveland, Texas, here are the costs:

Option One: 24-Hour Retreat. This is best when school is in session. You'll arrive at the property around 5 or 6 on Friday evening and stay through about the same time Saturday.

1. $50 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a specific date. (This will be deducted from the total cost below!)

2. $30/teen. This fee includes the printing costs for the workbooks and handouts, airsoft BBs, equipment fee, speaker fee, and two meals - breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

Option Two: Two-Day Retreat. You'll arrive Friday mid-morning and stay through until late Saturday afternoon. This allows much more time to develop the themes in the teaching sessions, as well as more time to just have fun!

1. $50 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a specific date. (This will be deducted from the total cost below!)

2. $40/teen. This fee includes the printing costs for the workbooks and handouts, airsoft BBs, equipment fee, speaker fee, and four meals - lunch and supper on Friday and breakfast & lunch on Saturday.

What We Provide:

1. Promotional Package - A few weeks before your event, we'll mail you a special promo pack that will include a t-shirt, a couple of posters, release forms, a copy of last year's workbook (as an example), and a disk containing video commercials and a couple of optional lessons you can use in the weeks before the retreat!

2. Every attendee gets a full-color 36-page workbook in which to take notes during the sessions.

3. We bring all the gladiator equipment. We have a bunch of swords, shields, and all kinds of crazy weapons, along with sturdy headgear!

4. We have a limited, but growing number of airsoft guns to loan out. We encourage everyone to bring their own, but we will chrono them for safety purposes. We have plenty of facemasks.

5. We generally have about 40,000 or so airsoft BBs on hand. That's usually enough…
